Our Philosophy
Sometimes, the pieces you reach for most aren’t the trendiest or the boldest - they’re the ones that feel right without effort.
Soft. Easy. Comfortable.
That’s what led us to Aari - a space to create clothing for the in-between. The moments between dressing up and dressing down. Between staying in and stepping out. Between everything on your list, and the pause in between.
We work with linen because it feels like a breath of fresh air - it moves and breathes with you
Where we come from
With Aari (named for my parents) I’m taking everything I’ve seen and lived with, and turning it into small-batch, slow-made pieces that breathe, soften with every wear. Growing up in our family’s export-level factory - where dinner-table conversations always revolved around yarns, weaves and endless blends - I learned firsthand which fibres drape best, which weaves stand the test of time, and how fine embroidery can elevate even the simplest silhouette.
Built on generations of linen expertise, we partner with eco-minded mills, practice zero-waste patterning and keep our production fully transparent - from flax field to finished seam.
We’ve spent decades weaving, dyeing, cutting, and stitching - and we still do, every day.
Everything we make is done in-house. From the first thread to the final stitch, we keep it close. It lets us work slowly, thoughtfully, and with intention - not to mass-produce, but to make clothes that feel good to wear.
Sustainability
Made slowly. From Belgian linen yarns. In our own hands, start to finish.
We believe in slow fashion - we start with the world’s finest raw materials found in nature - ethical, beautiful and sustainable since day one. Part of being sustainable since the start is about fanatically seeking out the world’s best textile and production partners.
Our Fabrics
Our 100% Italian Classic Linen is a natural fabric with a strong personality. This subtly wrinkled linen has a can’t-stop-touching-it texture.
How is it made?
Our linen is sourced from Western Europe, spun mostly in Eastern Europe.
Most Notable Sustainability Practice.
Our Italian fabric supplier chooses linen from Terre de Lin, Europe's largest linen cooperative, which offers fair compensation to growers based on the quality and quantity of fibers and seeds produced. This cooperative, certified by EuroFlax for its 100% European-origin linen, provides linen with exceptional strength, insulating, thermo-regulating, and non-allergenic properties. This fabric is certified by the European Flax standard, which guarantees traceability and ensures the fiber is natural, sustainable, and cultivated without GMOs.
Our Light-weight linen (±160 g/m²) is specially chosen for its ability to keep you cool and comfortable when temperatures rise. The fine, airy weave allows even more superior airflow than Medium-weight linen, creating a natural ventilation system against your skin. This circulation helps to release heat, prevent sweat build-up, and reduce that sticky feeling that often comes with other fabrics.
Light-weight linen’s exceptional moisture-wicking ability means it quickly absorbs perspiration and allows it to evaporate fast, leaving you feeling dry and refreshed even in humid conditions. The lightweight construction also gives garments a relaxed, flowing drape that doesn’t cling to the body - making it feel almost weightless in the heat.
